W. A. Bradfield (Dernancourt). Object diffuse with condensation,
tail < 1o.
D. Herald (Kambah). Object difficult in the twilight, tail 0o.25-0o.5.
COMET LOVAS (1980s)
C. Kowal, California Institute of Technology, provides the
following precise positions, obtained with the 1.2-m Schmidt
telescope at Palomar:

C.-Y. Shao (Harvard College Observatory, Agassiz Station).
C. Kowal (Palomar Mountain Observatory). 1.2-m Schmidt telescope.
The object is in close agreement with the prediction on MPC
5040. An improved orbit will appear on the 1981 Jan. 1 MPCs.
