L. K. Kristensen, University of Aarhus, writes that he has
found the above identification for this lost minor planet, the
original provisional designation of which was 1940 RF. Since the
published 1940 observations are discordant, and since there seem to be
no observations at other oppositions, it would be useful to obtain
more observations now. The ephemeris continues as follows: Jan.
6.0 ET, R.A. = 0h36m.9, Decl. = +14o22' (equinox 1950.0); 16.0, 0h53m.6,
+15o48'; 26.0, 1h11m.4, +17o19'. The magnitude is ~ 19.
