Goodall, Birmingham University, inform us that the satellite Ariel 6 will be observing SS Cyg from about Sept. 23 to Oct. 18, covering an energy range from 0.2 to 15 keV. A Leicester-M.I.T. rocket-borne instrument (energy range 0.05-0.25 keV) is also due to observe the star on Oct. 16. Optical observations during this period will be most welcome.
