Cristiani, University of Padua, report: "The sinusoidal trend of the relativistic radial velocities of V1343 Aql = SS 433 appears modulated by a period around 6.3 days and mean semiamplitude 3500 km/s. From 40 epochs of observed maxima or minima during 1978-81 (often anticorrelated in the two branches) we derive for maxima in the red branch and minima in the blue: JD 2443833.43 + 6.2851 E, in agreement with a progressing Fourier analysis.' COMET BOWELL (1980b) Further observations have been published and remain to be published in the MPCs. The following improved orbital elements are from 68 observations 1980 Feb. 11 to 1982 Jan. 30: Epoch = 1982 Mar. 12.0 ET T = 1982 Mar. 12.3087 ET Peri. = 134.8783 e = 1.057207 Node = 114.0675 1950.0 q = 3.363850 AU Incl. = 1.6650 Application of the Ub value calculated by E.
