KR AURIGAE
     W. Wisniewski and D. Ferguson, Steward Observatory, write:
"The unique rapid variable KR Aur has had briqhtness fluctuations
near mag 13.4 since 1975. Its spectrum was continuous with weak H
emission lines. We observed a drop to mag 15.6 in 1981 Dec.
Spectra obtained with the Multi-Mirror Telescope showed dramatic
changes. H lines are much stronger, and several new lines,
tentatively classified as He I, He II, C III, N II and Fe II, appeared."

POSSIBLE OCCULTATION BY PLUTO ON 1982 APRIL 15
     M. P. Candy, Perth Observatory, cables that there will be a
possible occultation by Pluto and/or its supposed satellite 1978
P 1 of a mag 13 star located at R.A. = l3h58m43s.01, Decl. = +6o43'41".4
(equinox 1950.0). Preliminary calculations indicate that on 1982
Apr. 15.067 UT the miss distance will be 0".35, with Pluto in p.a.
210o with respect to the star.

PERIODIC COMET DU TOIT-HARTLEY (1982b, 1982c)
     K. S. Russell, U.K. Schmidt Telescope Lnit, Siding Spring,
reports that the appearance of the comets has changed markedly since
Feb. 5-7. In addition to the fading of comet 1982b, there has been
some brightening of comet 1982c. Comet 1982b is now very nebulous
in appearance, and its image is quite extended; this has caused a
problem in the Feb. 19 measurements given below:

             1982 UT R. A. (1950) Decl. m1
     1982b Feb. 16.68478 13 01 44.92 -11 55 05.1 17
                  19.68588 13 11 28.13 -13 26 18.5 17
                  19.70741 13 11 31.95 -13 26 54.3
     1982c Feb. 16.68478 13 04 58.40 -12 14 40.8 15.5
                  19.68588 13 14 52.06 -13 46 10.5 15.5

CORRIGENDA
On IAUC 3671, paraqraph 3, line 1, the name P. Patriachi was
accidentally omitted; in the same item, lines 8 and 10, for FeS
read fes (fine-error sensor).
