     E. Helin and M. A. Barucci report their discovery of a fast-
moving object on exposures with the 0.9-m CERGA Schmidt in the
course of the International Near-Earth Asteroid Survey. INAS was
also responsible for follow-up at Palomar. Available positions:

E. Helin, M. A. Barucci, J.-L. Heudier, A. Barthelemy amd S. Syregard
   (Caussols). Measurer: C. Pollas. Times rather uncertain.
S. Singer-Brewster, D. Schneeberger and M. Rudnyk (Palomar).  0.46-
   m Schmidt.  Measurer: R. S. Dunbar.
G. Schwartz (Oak Ridge). Measurer: C.-Y. Shao. Image trailed.
J. Schombert (Palomar). 1.2-m Schmidt. Beginning of trail on 20-
   min exposure. Measurer: R. S. Dunbar.

     The following orbital elements are very uncertain but satisfy
the observations better than does an orbit with smaller a, e and i:

           T = 1985 Dec. 13.19 ET
       Peri. = 250.98                    e =   0.4653
       Node  = 148.41   1950.0           a =   2.6643 AU
       Incl. =  75.09                    n =   0.22663
           q =   1.4247 AU               P =   4.35 years
