Lovas has discovered a supernova 2" east and 20" north of the nucleus of NGC 2715 (R.A. = 9h01m.9, Decl. = +78 17', equinox 1950.0). On Sept. 21.90 UT it was of mpg = 15.0. 1987 QB S. Singer-Brewster reports his discovery of a fast-moving asteroidal object with the 0.46-m Palomar Schmidt in the course of the International Near-Earth Asteroid Survey under the direction of E. Helin.
