Hamuy, N. Suntzeff, G. Martin and R. Gonzalez, Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory, report: "From our UVBRI Kron-Cousins photometry obtained with the 0.4-m telescope at CTIO we have detected an inflection in the lightcurve of SN 1987A around day 600 after core collapse. Between days 300 and 600 the supernova declined in brightness at a rate increasingly faster than the decay of 56Co. Since day 600 the decline rate has been getting smaller in all filters. This effect, which is more pronounced toward longer wavelengths, might be indicative of another energy source, such as buried pulsar, although the presence of faint nearby stars in the observation aperture (25") cannot be completely ruled out. These dates (counted from JD 2446849.816) and I magnitudes illustrate the behavior: 516.099, 7.636; 517.103, 7.657; 518.061, 7.681; 526.072, 7.822; 532.082, 7.923; 548.051, 8.254; 563.084, 8.554; 569.057, 8.698; 570.972, 8.737; 575.025, 8.838; 580.882, 8.960; 583.864, 9.040; 588.966, 9.137; 593.787, 9.251; 596.821, 9.313; 598.985, 9.353; 602.963, 9.457; 606.866, 9.517; 608.981, 9.558; 610.997, 9.578; 615.908, 9.699; 620.861, 9.799; 634.803, 10.020." 1988 VN4 C.
