V635 CASSIOPEIAE
     H. Mendelson and T. Mazeh, Wise Observatory, report: "V635 Cas,
the optical counterpart of the x-ray pulsar 4U 0115+63, has gone
into another long-term outburst. Since 1988 Nov., the star has
continuously brightened from magnitude I = 13.4 to 12.6 (+/- 0.1).
Two of the previous optical outbursts were observed to be
accompanied by an x-ray eruption. Spectroscopic and x-ray
observations are strongly recommended."

1989 December 27 (4931) Daniel W. E. Green
