SUPERNOVA 1991K IN NGC 2851
     M. M. Phillips, Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory, communicates:
"Spectra of SN 1991K obtained with the CTIO 4.0-m telescope
on Mar. 9 and 12 UT indicate that this is a type-Ib supernova within
a week or so of maximum. Note that this classification differs from
that given by Filippenko and Shields on IAUC 5196. A spectrum
obtained of the nucleus of NGC 2851 yields an approximate redshift of
0.017."
     R. H. McNaught, University of Adelaide, reports that R. Evans,
Hazelbrook, N.S.W., found no new object in this galaxy to a limiting
magnitude of 14.5 on 1990 Nov. 28 and 1991 Jan. 22, and to a limiting
magnitude of 15 on 1990 Jan. 20, Apr. 24, Dec. 17, 1991 Feb. 7,
and Mar. 7.

H1413+117
     E. Giraud, European Southern Observatory, communicates: "
Component B of the Cloverleaf quasar, H1413+117, observed on Feb. 18.3
UT at the 2.2-m ESO/Max-Planck-Institut telescope in the R band, has
been found to have a brightness 1.5 times greater than that of
component A. The brightness of this component previously was known to
be 0.85 that of A. This gives a chance to measure the time delay
between the components if the luminosity increase is intrinsic to
the quasar source, or this may provide evidence for microlensing."
