Kingsburgh and J. English report: "Spectrograms obtained at the Siding Spring 2.3-m telescope (+ DBS + 1200 l/mm grating) on Aug. 2.41 UT yield an expansion velocity of 4500 km/s, as judged by half the full width at zero intensity (FWZI/2) of H-alpha. Strong, broad emission is also seen in He II 468.6-nm, whose FWZI/2 yields an expansion velocity of 5900 km/s." Photometry by A. C. Gilmore, Mt. John University Observatory: Aug. 2.515 UT, V = 10.23 +/- 0.01, U-B = -0.81 +/- 0.02, B-V = +0.02 +/- 0.01, V-R = +1.51 +/- 0.02, V-I = +1.71 +/- 0.05; Aug. 3.635, 10.55 +/- 0.01, -0.71 +/- 0.02, -0.05 +/- 0.01, +1.53 +/- 0.02, +1.07 +/- 0.06. Further visual magnitude estimates (cf. IAUC 5315): Aug. 1.156 UT, 9.4 (J. E. Bortle, Stormville, NY); 6.1, 10.9 (C. Scovil, Stamford, CT); 6.140, 11.6 (Bortle). FG SERPENTIS Corrigendum. On IAUC 5318, lines 9-11, replace the sentence, "The integrated fluxes of H I . . . forbidden lines' fluxes." with "The integrated fluxes of H I, He I, and [O III] emission lines are now 0.6, 0.4, and 0.7 of their respective non-eclipse values."
