A fast-moving asteroidal object has been independently
discovered at Palomar by J. Mueller (Oct. 3), on a plate taken by C.
Brewer and herself with the Oschin Schmidt telescope, and by C.
Shoemaker (Oct. 6), on films taken by herself, E. M. Shoemaker, and
D. H. Levy with the 0.46-m Schmidt:

     T. Kato and T. Takata, Department of Astronomy, Kyoto University,
report that CCD photometry with the Ouda 0.60-m reflector revealed
two superhumps at Oct. 18.445 and 18.536 UT (amplitude 0.14
mag in V), confirming the SU UMa nature of this object.
