Kilmartin communicates the following position from an exposure by A. C. Gilmore at Mount John Observatory with the 0.15-m astrograph on May 26.4 UT: R.A. = 17h03m42s.69, Decl. = -43 11'26".5 (equinox 1950.0; mean residuals 0".25 in R.A., 0".47 in Decl.). NO SUPERNOVAE 1992W, 1992X J. Mueller, Palomar Observatory, reports that a complete reduction by W. Sargent of the spectra mentioned on IAUC 5517 indicates that a preliminary misinterpretation occurred and that the objects called SN 1992W in MCG +08-23-096 and SN 1992X in MCG +06-32-024 are both actually foreground M-dwarf stars.
