COMET C/1997 L1
On June 5, J. Zhu, Beijing Astronomical Observatory, reported
observations of five new objects detected on June 3 and 4 in the course
of the BAO Schmidt CCD Asteroid Program at Xinglong. While observing some
of these objects on June 8, D. D. Balam, Victoria, noted that one was
clearly cometary, something that was confirmed by observers in Europe.
