COMET C/2006 O2 (GARRADD)
     G. J. Garradd reports his discovery of a comet on CCD images
taken with the 0.5-m Uppsala Schmidt telescope (discovery
observation tabulated below), the object showing a broad 40" tail
in p.a. about 120 deg.

COMETS C/1996 R5 AND C/1996 X3-X5 (SOHO)
Additional comets have been found on archival SOHO website
images (cf. IAUC 8724) -- all described by K. Battams as being
small and stellar in appearance. C/1996 R5, a Kreutz sungrazer,
peaked at mag 7.5-8.0; the other objects belong to the Kracht group,
with C/1996 X3 and C/1996 X4 peaking at mag about 7.0, and C/1996
X5 peaking at mag about 7.5.

COMETS C/1998 G9, 1998 L10, 1998 T2, 1998 W8 (SOHO)
The following SOHO comets (Kreutz sungrazers except for
Meyer-group member C/1998 G9) were all small and stellar in
appearance (mag 7.5-8.0), except for C/1998 L10, which was very
faint and slightly diffuse.
