Below are listed, in chronological order, presumed natural minor planets discovered outside the earth's atmosphere by ground-based telescopes prior to impacting the earth's atmosphere; the term "minor planet" here applies to asteroidal objects that are all (so far) quite small before hitting the earth's atmosphere (i.e., not larger than an automobile or truck). Those with asterisks had claimed acquisition of meteorites collected on land following determined searches. Most others were seen as fireballs when burning up upon entry into the earth's atmosphere -- either via satellite, via ground-based cameras, and/or via visual sightings.
