We report the independent discovery of this possible nova in M31 on a 240-s R-band CCD frame taken on 2020 Nov. 15.85847 UT with the 0.5 m f/8 Ritchey Chretien + CCD FLI PL4240 at MPC Code L07 (Osservatorio Salvatore di Giacomo, Agerola, ITALY) at coordinates: R.A. = 0:42:48.41, Decl.= +41:17:03.4 (equinox 2000.0; Gaia DR2). Our discovery image of this transient is visible here: https://tinyurl.com/y342douc - Nothing is visible at this position on our archival images taken on 2020, November 12.85 (limiting R-mag 20). The following R-filtered magnitude were obtained using the 0.5-m telescope at L07: R = 18.32 +- 0.05 mag (2459169.357083). Observers: A. Catapano, L. Izzo, E. Guido
