Jianlin Xu, Jingyuan Zhao, Mi Zhang and Weihao Wang, report discovery of a possible nova, the candidate was discovered during follow-up observations for PNV J00441071+4154221 (the possible outburst of recurrent nova M31N 2017-01e in 2024). Discovery image using Johnson R filter, exposured 300s, obtained by 0.5-m f/6.8 Lulin-ASIAA Telescope for Transients and Education (LATTE) at Lulin Observatory (D35) around 2024 Aug. 09.7303 UT, mag = 20.13 R. The candidate is also visible on Johnson V (2024 Aug. 09.7386, exposured 300s, mag = 20.14 V) and Johnson B (2024 Aug. 09.7430, exposured 300s, mag = 20.78 B) images taken by the same instrument, but no object can be seen at this location on the PanSTARRS DR1 image. We also reported the candidate to TNS, and it was named AT 2024rsq (see https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2024rsq ). Images can be found at https://www.wis-tns.org/system/files/uploaded/general/tns_2024rsq_atrep_221361.png .
