This possible supernova in ESO 412-1 was seen with 3 x 15 min images using an infrared filter Time: 2012.8.30.787 Astrometry: RA 01 00 14.33 Dec -30 48 31.0 Photometry: 17.2 +/- 0.5 IR > 700 nm (R as ref) These data were collected by Joseph Brimacombe, Coral Towers Observatory, Cairns, Australia Link to image and further information http://www.flickr.com/photos/43846774@N02/7897613544/

This object was observed by P. Miller, P. Roche, A. Tripp, R. Miles, R. Holmes, S. Foglia and L. Buzzi with the 2.0-m f/10 Faulkes Telescope North at Haleakala in bad seeing conditions. In a single 60 second image taken with R Bessell filter, the object has position end figures 14s.38, 31".4 and magnitude 17.1.
