Simone Leonini, Siena, Italy, report the indipendent discovery by S. Leonini, G. Guerrini, P. Rosi, D. Soldateschi and L.M. Tinjaca Ramirez of a PSN in UGC00838 (mag. about +15.5CR – USNO A2) on unfiltered CCD image (limiting mag. about +18.5) taken on 2012 September 10.4099 UT at the Montarrenti Observatory(C88) in the course of an automatic survey of the Italian Supernovae Search Project. Confirmation image was taken on 2012 September 16.9625 UT (mag. about +17.8CR - USNO A2) with the same instrument. Telescope/Detector: RC 0.53m f/8.7 + U47; Astrometry: R.A. 01h18m46.05s, Decl.+14degrees59arcmin39.9arcsec. - equinox 2000.0). Nothing is visible at this position on POSS images and our past images including one on 2012 Agust 24 (limiting mag. about +18.5). No known minor planets are marked in that position for the time of our observation.
