This object was observed by Federica Luppi with a 0.36-m f/7.9 reflector + CCD + Bessell R filter from Schiaparelli Observatory, Varese, Italy. In a stack of images totalling 21 minutes of exposure time, the object has position end figures 13s.50, 00".8 and magnitude 17.2 (CMC-14 catalogue). Nothing is visible in DSS images. This possible supernova in PGC 7743 was seen with 7 x 600 sec images using a clear filter. Astrometry: RA 02 02 13.46 Dec -06 05 00.9 Photometry: 17.8 +/- 0.1 C These data were collected by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia.
