F. Ciabattari, E. Mazzoni and R. Simonetti report the discovery of an apparent supernova (unfiltered magnitude = 17.3) on images (limiting magnitude 19.5) obtained on August 29.06 UT and August 30.04 UT with a 0.5m Newtonian telescope + CCD FLI Proline 4710 camera at Borgo a Mozzano - Italy, in the course of the Italian Supernovae Search Project. The new object is located at A.R. = 03h03m36s.27, Decl. = +46°56'52".0 (equinox 2000.0, astrometry with respect to UCAC-2 stars) which is 5 arcsec west and 14 arcsec north of the centre of Galaxy UGC 2504.

This transient was observed on 2014 08 30.9650 by G. Masi, P. Catalano and P. Schmeer remotely using the 17"-f/6.8 robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility, at Bellatrix Astronomical Observatory in Ceccano, Italy. 180-seconds exposures, unfiltered, show the source at mag. 17.3 (R mags for the reference stars from UCAC-4). We also performed astrometry, getting the following end figures: 36.19; 51.8 (J2000.0, mean residuals of 0.2" on both axes).
