PSN J04424114+1834597 2012 12 20.6121* 04 42 41.14 +18 34 59.7 17.2 V 5W 0N 1 0

2012 12 20.6121

This PSN in LEDA213292 (mag.= 17.2V) was discovered by M. Koishikawa, Sendai Astronomical Observatory using 1.3-m f/4.85 reflector + CCD under the limiting magnitude = 19. Offset from host galaxy must be correct as "19W, 0N" not "5W, 0N", sorry. Nothing is visible at this location on POSS2/UKSTU (red, 1991 Oct.11, limiting mag.= 19.0). Koishikawa's discovery image was posted at: http://space.geocities.jp/yusastar77/supernova/PSNinLEDA213292_121220.htm Communicated by Toru Yusa, Osaki.

2012 12 20.7817

This PSN was clearly seen on two CCD images (5 min exposures each ) taken remotely with 0.32m, f/8 Astrofraph + STL-6303E CCD camera (T18, iTelescopr.NET, Nerpio, Spain). Mag was 16.3V. PSN detected at coordinates 04 42 41.10 +18 34 59.5 (UCAC3). Magnitude 16.3 U +/- 0.1 . Limiting magnitude 18.6 . Sum of 5 x 240-sec images. Nothing visible at these coordinates on DSS. Observer: R. A. Koff, Antelope Hills Observatory, Bennett, Colorado USA (H09). Image posted at: http://antelopehillsobservatory.org/SNpictures/PSNJ04424114+1834597final.jpg

2012 12 21.40961

Mag.=16.4U, position end figures 41s.12, 59".8 (USNO-B1.0), remotely using the 0.25-m f/3.4 astrograph + CCD (SBIG ST-10XME) at RAS observatory near Mayhill, NM, U.S.A. (H06). Position and magnitude were measured on an image composed from 3-frames which were taken by each 120-seconds exposure under the limiting magnitude = 18.5. Observer T. Yusa, Osaki, Japan. 2012 12 22.519

Mag.= 16.6 observed by T. Noguchi, Chiba-ken, Japan, Position end figures 41s.16, 00".0 on a frame taken by 50-s exposure using 0.23-m f/6.3 Schmidt Cassegrain + unfiltered CCD. The limiting mag.= 18.0. Position and magnitude were measured using UCAC3. See an image http://park8.wakwak.com/~ngc/images/PSNinLEDA213292.jpg.
