This possible supernova in PGC 17049 was seen with 9 x 600 sec images using a clear filter. Astrometry: RA 05 17 26.48 Dec -23 44 46.2 Photometry: not attempted as too close to core These data were collected remotely using a 41 cm RCOS and U9000 camera at Macedon Ranges Observatory, near Melbourne, Victoria, by Joseph Brimacombe, Coral Towers Observatory, Cairns, Australia.
