2017 12 17.545

Discovered by S. Kaneko, Shizuoka-ken, Japan, with on 13-s exposure on four frames using Canon 6D digital camera + f/3.2 200-mm lens under the limiting mag = 15.7, who writes that nothing is visible at this location on two frames taken on December 11 and 12 UT. There is a faint star (mag.= 17.5) at end figures 19s.55, 42".8 on USNO-A2 catalog.

2017 12 17.82

The progenitor candidate mentioned by Kaneko-san is USNO-A2.0 1200-05181765 (B= 16.9, R= 17.5 mag), G= 18.583 mag in Gaia DR1. Additional designations for this blue star of magnitude 19 (which is located 18" from the ROSAT X-ray source 1RXS J065018.4+300232): GSC2.3 N8HK013150 (F= 19.01, j= 19.08 mag), GALEX J065019.4+300243 (FUV= 20.00 mag), USNO-B1.0 1200-0139093, URAT1 601-146125. PNV J06501960+3002449 is possibly a dwarf nova outburst with an amplitude of about 6 magnitudes. --- Patrick Schmeer (Saarbrücken-Bischmisheim, Germany)

2017 12 89.932

Observation of this transient object was made on 2017 12 17.89932 by Andrea Mantero at Bernezzo Observatory (MPC C77) Cuneo, Italy, with a telescope 0.25 m. f/4 + V filter. Performed photometry returns a value of 12.941 +/- 0.007 V magnitude (reference v mags from APASS).Astrometry RA= 06 50 19.50 De= +30 02 43.2 position measured from reference stars UCAC-4 catalogue.

PNV J06501960+3002449 as clearly visible on my prediscovery DSLR images made by Robert Fidrich (Budapest, Hungary) at 2017. dec. 17.102UT. Visual estimates from the DSLR image sugges that PNV J06501960+3002449 was already in outburst near 13.0TG. Proper photometry will be done later. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pt5elgraxh5gvfb/pnv_0650_171216g4_x.jpg?dl=0
