Discovered by M. Tsuboi, Hiroshima, Japan, on two frames taken on 2016 March 7.434 UT using 0.35-m f/4.5 reflector + unfiltered CCD, which was confirmed on six frames taken on March 9.477 UT (two days later of discovery), then PSN was mag.= 16.9. The discovery image was posted at http://tenku.dee.cc/PSN/NGC2444160307-01.jpg.
