L. Elenin (Lyubertsy, Russia) and I. Molotov (Moscow, Russia) confirm an apparent supernova PSN J08175346+2328105 in NGC 2554. Object visible on 3x300sec images remotely taken at ISON-NM Observatory (Mayhill, NM, USA) with 0.45-m f/2.8 telescope + CCD (KAF09000) on Mar. 26.1188, 2013. Object located at 08h 17m 53s.54 +/- 0".08, +23d 28' 11".3 +/- 0".06 (UCAC-4) with magnitude 15.4U (mag. limit ~18.8m). Nothing is visible at this position on the POSS and POSSII images. This possible supernova in NGC 2554 was detected with 3 x 15 min images using an infrared filter Astrometry: RA 08 17 53.53 Dec +23 28 10.7 Photometry: 14.83 +/- 0.05 IR > 700 nm (R for ref) These data were collected remotely by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia. This object was observed by Federica Luppi and Luca Buzzi from Schiaparelli Observatory, Varese, Italy. In a stack of images totalling 3 minutes of unfiltered exposure time, the object has position end figures 53s.54, 11".4 and magnitude 14.6.
