This object was observed by Federica Luppi and Luca Buzzi from Schiaparelli Observatory, Varese, Italy. In a stack of images totalling 15 minutes of exposure time, the object has position end figures 46s.07, 16".2 and magnitude 16.1 (CMC-14 catalogue). This possible supernova in NGC 2691 was seen with 16 x 1200 sec images using a red filter Astrometry: RA 08 54 46.14 Dec 39 32 16.6 Photometry: 16.0 +/- 0.1 R These data were collected by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia.
