This probable supernova in ESO 61-8 was detected with 8 x 10 min images using a clear filter Photometry: Mag 17.61 +/- 0.12 C (V for ref; USNOA2) Astrometry: RA 09 19 52.73 Dec -68 54 41.2 These data were collected remotely by Joseph Brimacombe, Coral Towers Observatory, Cairns, Australia.
