This PSN was discovered by V. Shumkov on two unfiltered survey images (180-s exposures) from MASTER-Kislovodsk robotic telescope (0.40-m f/2.5 reflector + 4Kx4K CCD) taken on 2012 Oct. 07.062 UT and 07.088 UT. D. Denisenko and E. Gorbovskoy (SAI MSU) report that nothing is visible at this position on MASTER-Kislovodsk image of 2011 Dec. 06.933 UT (limiting magnitude 19.2), as well as on the archival DSS plates and SDSS image of the field. The comparison of MASTER-Kislovodsk discovery and reference images is posted at this website URL: http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/PSNinNGC2857-MASTER-anim.gif
