Discovered in Leo by S. Ueda, Hokkaido, Japan using 105-mm f/2.5 lens + a digital camera, who confirmed this star on a frame taken on 2016 April 9.552 UT using 0.25-m f/3.4 reflector + CCD and nothing is visible at this location on his recent survey frame taken on 2016 April 4 UT using same 105-mm lens (limiting mag.= 11.4).
