This transient was observed by Gianluca Masi and Francesca Nocentini, remotely using the 17" robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Ceccano, Italy. Unfiltered images show the source at mag. 15.9 (R mags for the reference stars from UCAC-4). We also performed astrometry, getting the following end figures: 15.65s; 03.7" (J2000.0, mean residuals of 0.15" on both axes)

This possible supernova in UGC 5315 was detected with 83 x 0.5 min images using a luminance filter Photometry: Mag 15.83 +/- 0.05 L (V for ref) Astrometry: RA 09 54 15.65 Dec +37 18 04.4 These data were collected remotely by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia.
