Giancarlo Cortini (Monte Maggiore Observatory-Predappio-ITALY) reports the discovery of a possible supernova in UGC 5609 by 0.35m. Sch.-Cass. F/5.5 + SXVR-H9 CCD camera on several unfiltered images, 90 sec. exposure, mag. about+15.6,limit mag. about+ 19.0; the new object is located at:R.A. 10 24 22.31, DECL.+78 36 23.5(2000.0) wich is:9 arcsec.S and 3 arcsec.W from the centre of the parent galaxy. My past images of the same field taken on :2013/07/04.98 and 2013/06/03.90 showed nothing at that position (limit mag.+19.0) and it doesn't appear on P.O.S.S. II red and blue plates. No known minor planet is marked in that position for the time of the discovery.

We confirm the presence of this PSN at mag.+15.4 from unfiltered image taken with 0.25m. Newton F/5 + CCD camera and 660 sec. exposure. Riccardo Mancini and Fabio Briganti at Gavena Observatory-Cerreto Guidi-ITALY in the course of Italian Supernovae Search Project.
