Discovered by K. Itagaki, Yamagata, Japan on an unfiltered CCD frame using 0.50-m reflector remotely at the Takanezawa station, Tochigi-ken, under the limiting magnitude= 18.5. Nothing is visible at this location on his past frames including the most recent frame (limit mag.= 17.5) taken on 2014 February 22.629 UT using the same telescope and verifying was done on a frame (limit mag.= 19.5) taken on 2007 February 24.683 UT using 0.60-m reflector at Yamagata.

Looking at the discovery image, this appears to be the same object as PSN J12355230+2755559 an LBV found 2 years ago by LOSS. This may be a new outburst. http://www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/unconf/followups/J12355230+2755559.html
