This PSN is SNhunt196 and was detected on 2013-05-14.59 (not 2013-04-14.59 as noted). There is some indication that a very faint source was present at this location in observations taken on May 4th.

L. Elenin (Lyubertsy, Russia) and I. Molotov (Moscow, Russia) confirm an apparent supernova PSN J13151481-1757556. Object visible on 3x150sec images remotely taken at ISON-NM Observatory (Mayhill, NM, USA) with 0.45-m f/2.8 telescope + CCD (KAF09000) on May 16.1712, 2013. Object located at 13h 15m 14s.82 +/- 0".07, -17d 57' 55".2 +/- 0".09 (UCAC-4) with magnitude 14.5U (mag. limit ~19.4m). Nothing is visible at this position on the POSS and POSSII images.
