Discovered by E. Pimentel, C. Barreto, C. Colesanti, C. Jacques, J. Amancio, J. Ribeiro, L. Amaral,M. Domingues, P. Holvorcem, T. Napoleao on behalf of the Brazilian Transient Search - BraTS - at SONEAR 2 Observatory, Belo Horizonte, Brazil in three frames with 10 seconds exposure using an astrograph 280mm f/2.2 + CCD unfiltered, with magnitude 13.1 under limiting mag = 16.5. Nothing is visible at this location on the previous frames (limiting mag = 16.5) taken on 2023 Jul 08.0820 UT.

Position end figures 40.34s, 6.5" J2000, Gaia EDR3 positions. Photometry results were B=14.35, V=13.83, Rc=13.47 and Ic=13.00. All observations with 0.43-m f/6.8 CDK astrograph + FLI PL4710 CCD (T17, iTelescope.NET) @ SSO - C. Jacques, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Position end figures 40s.33, 6".4 measured with 0.50m reflector + CCD at Skygems Observatory, Namibia. J2000, Gaia DR2 positions. Position may correspond with VHS J162940.32-402205.6 from the VISTA Hemisphere Survey (VHS) catalog DR5 (McMahon+, 2020) with end figures 40s.33, 5".6.
