Discovered by Tadashi Kojima, Tsumagoi,Gunma-ken, Japan, on three frames(5_s exp) taken by Canon EOS 6D digital camera + 300mm f/2.8 lens. This is thought to be a Mira-type variable star 2MASS J16304044-3132204(IRAS 16274-3125) brightening. Another variable star ASAS J163040-3132.3 is 6" north. Light curves below magnitude 14 may be mixed. For reference:magnitude estimates 2025 Mar01.789UT <14.2, 2025 Apr 04.729 13.8, 2025 Apr26.652UT 12.4 with same instrument.
