I took several images to confirm this PSN with 0.50-m f/6.8 astrograph + FLI-PL6303E CCD + f/4.5 focal reducer (T30, iTelescope.NET, Siding Spring, Australia). This PSN was clearly detected in V and Ic images with 30 sec exposure time. I check ESO MAMA/CAI R image via Aladin, Simbad. Photometry results are V=10.69 and Ic=10.67. This possible supernova in ESO 138-G010 was detected with 6 x 15 min images using an infrared filter Astrometry: RA 16 59 02.55 Dec -60 11 40.7 Photometry: 13.98 +/- 0.09 IR > 700 nm (R for ref) These data were collected by Joseph Brimacombe, Coral Towers Observatory,Cairns, Australia using a 41-cm RCOS and STL6K camera. http://www.flickr.com/photos/43846774@N02/8682304315/
