This possible supernova in NGC 6343 was detected with 4 x 10 min images using a luminance filter and 4 x 10 min using a red filter Astrometry: RA 17 17 22.05 Dec +41 04 00.2 Photometry: 16.69 +/- 0.23 L (V as ref); 15.98 +/- 0.25 R These data were collected remotely by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia.
