This possible supernova in ESO 102-G6 was detected with 4 x 15 min images using an infrared filter Photometry: Mag 17.16 +/- 0.13 IR > 700 nm (R for ref) Astrometry: RA 17 28 55.03 Dec -66 09 10.3 These data were collected by Joseph Brimacombe, Coral Towers Observatory, Cairns, Australia. Nugent (LBL Berkeley), Lukasz Wyrzykowski (OGLE) on 29 Aug 2013; 15:37 UT Distributed as an Instant Email Notice Supernovae Credential Certification: Cosimo Inserra (c.inserra@qub.ac.uk) Subjects: Optical, Supernovae PESSTO, the Public ESO Spectroscopic Survey for Transient Objects (see Valenti et al., ATel #4037; http://www.pessto.org ), reports the following supernova classifications. Targets were supplied by the La Silla-Quest survey (see Hadjiyska et al., ATel #3812), the OGLE-IV Transient Search (see Wyrzykowski et al., ATEL #4495), the Catalina Real-time Transient Survey (http://crts.caltech.edu/) and TOCP webpages. All observations were performed on the ESO New Technology Telescope at La Silla on 2013 August 26 (UT), using EFOSC2 and Grism 13 (3985-9315A, 18A resolution). Classifications were done with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) and GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383).
