The transient source was detected by the New Milky Way (NMW) survey Camera-2: 135mm f/2.0 telephoto lens + unfiltered SBIG STL-11000M CCD operating at the Astroverty astrofarm in Nizhny Arkhyz, Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia. No object brighter than magnitude 14.0 is visible at the transient's location in the NMW images from the previous night obtained on 2024-09-26.7722 UT. A faint blue star Gaia DR3 4523672311648740992 (18:17:34.807 +18:03:48.84 Equinox=J2000.0 Epoch=J2000; G=21.0; BP=21.0; RP=21.2) is located 2" from the position of the transient derived from the wide-field discovery images having 13.82"/pix scale. The discovery images are available at http://scan.sai.msu.ru/~kirx/img/TCPJ18173469+1803499/ General information about the NMW survey can be found at http://scan.sai.msu.ru/nmw/ ---- Kirill Sokolovsky (UIUC, SAI MSU), Stanislav Korotkiy (Astroverty, Ka-Dar) for the NMW team
