Gianluca Masi, Francesca Nocentini and Patrick Schmeer tried to observe this transient on 2013 09 07.951, remotely using the 17" robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Ceccano, Italy. We find no evidences of any source brighter than mag 19.5 within 30" from the nominal position. There is a mag 21 star less than 0.3" from the reported position: SDSS J221543.59+020449.0 R.A. 22:15:43.594 Decl. +02:04:49.03 (J2000.0) g=21.093, r=20.122 USNO-B1.0 0920-0682374 R.A. 22:15:43.620 Decl. +02:04:49.51 (J2000.0) B2=21.24

The object is not confirmed in the KAIT clear band image with limiting mag ~19.0. The object is probably not real, or maybe is an astroid.

This possible supernova in IC 1437 was possibly detected with 3 x 15 min images using a luminance filter Object seen at discovery location but faint object present on DSS2 image. Photometry: Mag 20.53 +/- 0.33 L (V for ref) Astrometry: RA 22 15 43.87 Dec +02 04 48.9 These data were collected remotely by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia.
