Mag.=15.3U, R.A.=22 40 17.05 Decl=-02 25 34.1 (UCAC-3), using 0.3-m f/9.9 Cassegrain + CCD(SBIG STL-1001E) at Osaki, JAPAN (D92). Position and magnitude were measured on an image composed from 5-frames which were taken by each 60-seconds exposure under the limiting magnitude = 18.5. Observer T. Yusa and N. Wada, Osaki, Japan.

Mag.= 15.7 observed by Toshihide Noguchi, Chiba-ken, Japan, Position end figures 17s.03, 34".1 from an image composed by two frames taken by each 50-s exposure using 0.23-m f/6.3 Schmidt Cassegrain + unfiltered CCD. L. Elenin (Lyubertsy, Russia) and I. Molotov (Moscow, Russia) confirm an apparent supernova PSN J22401702-0225341. Object visible on 3x300sec images remotely taken at ISON-NM Observatory (Mayhill, NM, USA) with 0.45-m f/2.8 telescope + CCD (KAF09000) on Dec. 8.0686. Object located at 22h 40m 17s.04 +/- 0".09, -02d 25' 34".3 +/- 0".05 (UCAC-4) with magnitude 15.4U (mag. limit ~20.5m). Nothing is visible at this position on the POSS and POSSII images. This possible supernova in MCG-1-57-21 was detected with 4 x 15 min images using a luminance filter Astrometry: RA 22 40 17.03 Dec -02 25 34.0 Photometry: 15.23 +/- 0.16 L (V for ref) These data were collected remotely by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia.
