Confirmed new object in UGC12271 at 22 58 20.26 +02 17 29.0 (J2000.), approx unfiltered mag 17.1 using UCAC-3. Object not present on POSSII image served by Aladin. C11 + ST9XE. Nick James, MPC970.

This possible supernova in PGC 70144 was seen with 4 x 600 sec images using a clear filter.
