Geyer has remeasured the two plates of P/Tempel-Tuttle obtained at Palomar in 1965. The following positions, in which the times have been corrected too, replace the preliminary ones on IAUC 1936: 1965 UT R.A. (1950) Decl. June 30.45174 2 37 28.66 + 1 19 25.9 July 26.45903 1 45 54.43 -16 37 30.0 Only two other observations of the comet were obtained in 1965 (see IAUC 1926). Observing conditions were favorable for the northern hemisphere early in 1965, however, before the prediction was availanle. The accompanying ephemeris, which has been adjusted using the known observations of position and brightness, is provided in the hope that observers may examine their plates for possible further positions of the comet. 1965 ET R.
