The following precise positions have been measured by C. Y.
Shao from plates taken by J. H. Bulger and R. E. McCrosky with the
155-cm reflector at Harvard Observatory's Agassiz Station:

The following elliptical elements, by B. G. Marsden, satisfy
the five observations within 2". It is possible that e (and hence
a and P) is slightly larger than given here, in which case there
could have been a very close approach to Jupiter in Apr.-June 1972.
