(1950.0) Decl. m1 Observer June 10.47975 2 51.71 +15 47.3 Gibson 23.445 3 31.69 +17 32 12.5: Morris 28.468 3 47.08 +18 03 12.6: " J. Gibson (Palomar). 1.52-m reflector with CCD camera. Image essentially stellar, with mag ~ 16.5; longer exposures show short tail in p.a. ~ 270 and coma. CCD images also exist from June 9 and 11. C. S. Morris (Frazer Park, CA). Visual observations with 0.25-m reflector. Coma diameter ~ 1', diffuse with slight condensation: comet had similar appearance when observed on June 27.46. The comet is evidently quite close to the predicted position, and the following ephemeris is from orbital elements on MPC 8287. 1984 ET R.A.
