SUPERNOVAE IN IC 121 AND NGC 991
     R. W. Argyle, Royal Greenwich Observatory, telexes the following
accurate position for the supernova in IC 121 (offset from galaxy's
center: 4" west, 1" north; mpg = 15.0 on Sept. 6.05 UT); R.A. =
1h25m46s94, Decl. = +2deg15'15"0 (equinox 1950.0). Argyle also provides
the following position for the supernova in NGC 991 (mpg = 14.0 on
Sept. 5.12): R.A. = 2h33m02s11, Decl. = -7deg22'34"1 (equinox 1950.0).

Z ANDROMEDAE
    A. Cassatella, European Space Agency, Villafranca: T. Fernandez
and A. Gimenez, Universidad Complutense, Madrid: and R. Viotti,
Istituto Astrofisica Spaziale, Frascati, telex: "International
Ultraviolet Explorer observations of Z And after outburst show large
changes of line intensities and profiles during 1984 Apr. to Sept.,
with a strengthening of O I and N V. An absorption dip is visible
at -120 km/s on the wings of C IV and N V in a 335-min SWP image
from June 11, suggesting the presence of a low-velocity, warm wind.
All emission lines appeared asymmetric on Sept. 2, with a sharp
blue wing."
