V1727 CYGNI
D. Crampton, Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, reports:
"The x-ray source V1727 Cyg = 2129+470, which usually varies over
V = 16.3-17.7 with a 5.2-hr period, was observed to be constant at
mag ~ 18, slightly fainter than the star 17" to the west, on several
occasions during the nights of Aug. 2, 3 and 6 UT. This source
resembles HZ Her = Her X-1 in several respects and is presumably
currently in a low x-ray state. Photometric and x-ray
observations would be interesting."
