Birkle, Max-Planck-Institut fur Astronomie, Heidelberg, reports his recovery of this comet with the 3.5-m telescope at Calar Alto, using a CCD camera at the prime focus. His positions are in close agreement with the predicted elements on MPC 10519. The comet was stellar in appearance, with an R magnitude of ~ 22. 1986 UT R.A. (1950) Decl.
